Smarta hinduism which I have discused believe that they are all apart of the one god known as brahmin. in Sh aivism, these followers bielieve it is the god known as shiva who is one god they hope to reunite with. In Vaishnavism its the god Vishnu, and in Shaktism it is the god Shakti. These are the major differences between the sects, the ideals and concepts of hinduism such as karma, reincartion, the soul, heaven are the same.
